Deleting my account will mean that I will use my blog as the space in which to share links and ideas, etc. It'll be harder to reach as large a number of people at first, but that's okay. This will just work better for me. People who visit my blog are more likely to be interested in what I have to say, not simply what my favorite movies and bands are, or what photos I've been tagged in recently.
“I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in life. And I am horribly limited.” --Sylvia Plath

New Leaf
Within the month, I will be permanently deleting my Facebook account. Their privacy policies are dwindling, which is resulting in a both more personal and impersonal Facebook. Personal because suddenly it is even more difficult to keep private info from linking to public pages, but impersonal because of the sheer number of people who have access to personal information. I value a quality of friends over quantity, so good-bye, Facebook. Last year, I deactivated my account, unaware that I could delete it.... It's difficult to delete it, but possible.
