“I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in life. And I am horribly limited.” --Sylvia Plath

Once upon a time...

I recently read what I believe will always be my favorite book of all time (which is somewhat disappointing, since I am only 22).

Somehow, I managed to read this book in two days. It's as funny as it is sad. As another reviewer said, "Nicole Krauss's The History of Love is a hauntingly beautiful novel about two characters whose lives are woven together in such complex ways...."

"Once upon a time there was a boy who loved a girl, and her laughter was a question he wanted to spend his whole life answering..."
